Rebel Mouse what is it?

Over the last few days I have been playing with a site RebelMouse.com.

At first glimpse it feels like a pinterest.com knock off. But exploring the site for 11 seconds will debunk that rather quickly.

What I see is something unique its truly your social wall well laid out. Yes it has a pintrest feel but that is where the mouse stops. Your social world is everywhere twitter facebook blogs g+ and more. And some people have learned to work them togeather.

But for the rest of the world, well it’s all over the place Rebel Mouse can help put it all togeather in a nice clean page that is all about you or your business.

Its NOT another social network. Think of this site like a digital refrigerator that you can hang up all you handy social work for the word to see.

The do have a premium feature for 9.99 a month Powered Sites. This gives the social masters more control over the rebel mouse platform.

Rebel Mouse is Cool and I think will be fun – To me, its my wall of social cool stuff. And I think will do well not only in internet marketing but for other sides of the interwebs too.

Don’t forget to add your RebelMouse.com link to your IT profile. Too

And That’s my 2 cents and this is my Reble Mouse

Traffic Exchanges have had many sides for a long time.
Chat vs no chat
Social VS no social
paid to surf VS surf for credits
cash Prizes VS no cash
Paid to promote VS not

Every time there is a choice this makes a Traffic Exchange more of a Niche Product.
Take Tom Knapps coke example on Marcy McManaways blog post for example
COKE is a soda
so is Pepsi, DR. Pepper, MT.Dew, Sprite, Mellow Yellow ECT

Sodas VS Traffic exchanges is the best I can figure out as a comparison. It is a good thing that people carve out what a traffic exchange cause a LOT of them are the same script and have graphics by the same person. So a lot of the time it’s the little things that separate traffic exchanges from each other. Sometimes it can be the same script with little or no difference. Heck some even have the same ad copy that it has out of the box. Often times it’s the difference between coke and coke zero and diet coke and caffeine free coke and vanilla coke. Not a whole lot of change between each one till the owner ship is added.

There is a fine line from some Traffic exchanges. They do hold true that its still “you view mine I view yours.” A very simple concept, but a lot of the time that’s where the similarities end. And that is a good thing. Being all things to everyone is not possible. Someone may not like the color of a traffic exchange. Carve out what your site is Define what it is and promote it like crazy.

The members looking for that type of site will find a home if you have done it correctly. If you offer cash to surf tell people you do. If you are aggressive for referrals and pay for that tell people.

But the people you attract will also dictate who advertises in your site. Like it or not surfers, affiliates, and advertisers are often looking for different things.

and that is my traffic exchange 2 cents.

It sounds like a simple question but ask 100 people and get 100 different answers. Everyone has hang ups or something they want to fix or change bla bla bla that’s called an excuse why you are not doing it.

In jr High I made the B team in basketball – not the A team. The A team was the ones that went and played games at other schools for the pride of the school.

Nope I played for the B team the one that used our gym shorts for practice gear. See I loved playing basketball – I was tall – but my skills left something to be desired BIG time. But I still got to play a game I loved – I wanted to be the next Michael Jordan ……..

But none the less I was on the team – I didn’t tell my family cause I was kind of ashamed. The reason I am telling this story is a lot like online business. People ask me what I do. I tell them I am traffic exchange owner. AKA internet marketer.

But I’m not ashamed. In fact I work hard at my craft 12 to 14 hour days every day. But that’s what you do when you want to get better at something. If I had spent 12 hours a day with a basketball im sure I would have taken my skills to a whole new level. Again I am using the work I put in to grow my traffic exchange.

I love online marketing and for me is a full time life style. I want to play at the pro level so I have to refine my skills – learn – and keep practicing every single day. And when I have been here 10 years you will see its was all the hard work I put in learning and trying things that made all the difference.

What’s holding me back? Nothing how about you?

and that is my traffic exchange 2 cents,

I had every intention of writing blog post about old stuff this vs that.

but im not …….

This post is about the one thing you cant buy or rent.

This post is about that one element that is lacking for the 80% that will fail at owning a traffic exchange. This post is not all about sunshine and rainbows.

Its about work. Im not the best in this business. I can name some names that will put me to shame in marketing in traffic exchanges. But one thing I have is the drive and the determination to push forward every single day.

I am relentless in my drive to build my online business. I don’t take but a few days off every few years. I put my heart and soul in to what I am doing. I wake up every morning ready to work. I spend time & money to get to my goals everyday.

At the end of the day im tired, im drained I have given 100% of my effort. See this is not a job for me. Its way more than that. It’s a burning desire to grow something. Make no mistake im not perfect. And I do short change myself and my business from time to time. Family and life and the world play into your time at work.

Either way I hope this helps you get pumped and excited about building your business. No one is standing over your shoulder or holding you back from reaching new heights so Just do it already.

Have a great week fellow marketer and that’s my traffic exchange 2 cents.

I’m going to once again beat dead horse – neigh I’m going to pulverize this horse. A few times too.

Here is the next 5 blogs I’m going to write:
Do auto surfs work?
Chat VS Conventional Surf?
Timers in traffic exchanges?
Big VS Little traffic exchanges?
How to build the traffic Exchange Business.

All of the above are still relevant cause there is people still supporting one side or the other. Im going to start off with the “Do autosurfs work?” Without reading the old post here is my thoughts as of today 4/18/2013. http://jamesmdias.com/2009/10/02/auto-surfing-vs-manual-surfing-is-one-better/

Yes! Traffic exchange with an auto advancing mechanism do work. And to the old guard on this topic, many people have been shocked to find that some auto surfs are out preforming some manual traffic exchanges in the results category.

I have had people that I have personally recommended trying auto surfs say the same. Not all traffic exchange are created equal. Same goes in any environment but some auto surfs fetch better results than others and it also depends on what you are promoting.

Real Facts/ Myths about Auto surf traffic exchanges:

Banners are effective in auto surfs
TRUE

Auto Surfs people are robots
False the funny thing is there is more bot software manual exchanges.

People set it and forget it
True – I make no beef on this one some will but then again http://social.adone-ten.com/stickersfull.php?st=3 numbers don’t lie real people collecting stickers in an auto surf ? NO WAY! It’s a mix.

It takes more hits to get results
– true and false – some auto surfs out preform manual surfs by results a click on an ad. Did it take 5000 pages to do it …. Sometimes but the one thing most don’t think of is you can get 5000 credits for the price of 1000 at a manual exchange most of the time. They are not the same in a lot of ways price is one. But I personally don’t care where the click or the referrals come from as long as I get results and the faster the better.

Auto Surfs are a waste of bandwidth.
If bandwidth is your problem, think bigger as in you are not getting enough hits to your website anyway.
plus a good manual surf traffic exchange owner is going to have a mix of marketing. Cause they want new fresh faces.

I’m not trying to convert you in to auto surfers …. But I would love to introduce more people to good results grabbing manual surfs.

People talk about reaching out to bring in new members and a great step is auto surf. The war has been over and no one got the memo.

And that is my autosurf 2 cents on traffic exchanges

James Dias

don’t like what I said tell me how im wrong in the comments section below.

OR

If you agree tell me why

OK I stumbled across a blog post that made my blood boil.

Let me start this post by saying shame on you “Willie Crawford” of williecrawford.com your blog post is 100% wrong. To call the business I call mine a scam is nothing short of libel to me.

Before I get all fired up let me start by saying that this is my humble opinion.

This man wrote a blog post “The TOP All Time Traffic Scams – Traffic Exchanges “

This is coming from a guy that charges $600 Dollars for a 1/2 Hour Telephone Consultation. And this guy has the testicular fortitude to call my business a scam. Its people like this that give the whole internet marketing a bad wrap.

But Willie seems to be an educated man. I mean he is wearing a suit. But nowhere in his blog did he give actual facts before he called a business I love a scam. There was absolutely no proof, no statistics, and certainly no evidence that he actually used the product. There’s also no proof that he tried more than one, because lets face it not all traffic exchanges are created equal.

So who would post such a horrible display of nonsense?
Someone with an axe to grind?
Someone who is just ignorant?
or
Someone that wanted to spark controversy?

Just cause they have a loud voice doesn’t make them right. They in fact they should be (but rarely are) held to a higher standard.

I personally would have coached Willie to the best of my ability so that he could get the type of results I enjoy everyday. But he didn’t ask me. But he did attack the element in my life that I spend 16 hour days for all 7 days in a week and even then it’s still not enough time for me to offer and deliver the best I can to the thousands of members that have trusted me with their time and money to get them results. And my coaching lessons are almost free, I just ask that the person listen and ask questions and try it in MY traffic exchange.

Not $600 for a half hour phone call; that to me is a total scam.

To see the post that set me ablaze : http://williecrawford.com/blog2/the-top-all-time-traffic-scams-traffic-exchanges/

and Please comment to show your surrort for our Business.

I recently did a search of “Traffic Exchanges” and I am not shocked to see that the world of blogging exchange are getting overly confused with Traffic exchange.

Let me go on record if you use a traffic exchange to market your blog (please ) remove the AdSense OR use a splash page that represents what you are writing about on your blog.

So back to what is was getting warmed up on.

Calling a blog exchange a traffic exchange is a lot like calling a ford pinto a Cadillac Escalade . While they can basically serve the same function they are also wildly different.

a good traffic exchange will have multiple elements for a member to market their project Banner ads, Text ads, Full Page ads, and more

A traffic exchange is built for a wider range of marketing online.
Blog exchange is very one dimensional its more like a link exchange or a targeted RSS feed. Some are a lot like an ad publisher as in the case of MGID more like a google product than a traffic exchange.

A traffic exchange is built and designed to be a marketing platform where you view an ad in exchange for a view to your ad. A traffic exchange can be used to gest marketing at low or no cost. wikipedia.org has a good definition of a traffic exchange.

the difference between a Blog exchange and a traffic exchange is a lot like the difference from a twitter account and a wordpress blog. I hope you see why that was important to me.

I am a traffic exchange owner and that is my traffic exchange 2 cents

I love to think of marketing as a game …. It works well for me let me explain.

Think of every hit to your site/ affiliate page as a point. One hit = One point simple.

Now comes the hard part get a high score every day. If last week your average was 5000 hits a day the try to beat that every day by 10 hits or more but keeps that top number going.

See marketing in a traffic exchange is truly pretty simple the more your ad shows the more chances you have to add a new or existing member back in to your site.

Sounds easy right its only 10 hits a day but a month 2 months and your overall volume has grown by 10% and with the law of numbers working for you that should add up to a 10% increase in sign ups. This should also be 10% more commissions. And there is nothing wrong with having 10% more just cause you learned how to maximize your marketing efforts.

Marketing it traffic exchanges is very simple the more you market. Your results go up. This is still a business where you can give yourself a 10% raise just for pushing harder.

just think what is your earning potential if you gave 100% everyday.

Try it for a couple months and that’s my traffic exchange 2 cents.

Internet Traffic is now past 10,000 members and growing. And without real people surfing and supporting and getting results. It would be nothing without you.

Hi there James. Just wanted to drop you a quick \hello\. I hadnt interacted much with anyone on the TE end of things since right after launching [the Site].

I was reading your blog post about getting overloaded and man, that is exactly what happened to me. I wont bore you with the details, but I purchased a group of sites and shortly after the purchase everything went down the toilet… in a really bad way. Not my fault, but I had to take ownership of the situation and- finally, after almost 2 months- am getting everything back under control. I need to get [the Site] active and growing again at this point.

There is still a ton to learn about getting and keeping these TEs active, so Im soliciting the advice of those I look up to in the community.

My question is, do you think its a good idea to do a formal relaunch of the site? Or do you think it better to just pick up where I left off and keep advertising it? I see a lot of these sites teaming up and doing surf promos together, but am not really sure how to go about that.

One step I have taken is to put together a series of e-mails that go out to members. The first set is geared toward newbies who might need step-by-step instructions and later on I cover various advertising tips in general. Figured that might at least let people know Im here and remind them to log in on occasion.

Anyhow, if you dont mind, any insight is very much appreciated.

Thanks for keeping it real… I read and appreciate your blog posts.

[One truly great person]

Dear OTGP,

I needed to sleep on your questions.

the easy advice I can give is also crappy advice too. (so im not going to do that)

but let me be blunt with what I would do for myself given the same outline you have now.

#1 change the name to something you can Brand. “my super big hits traffic exchange viral power booster site” is not the same as a good quick one word site ” I still like bweeble s name ……

#2 start building a new site for this new project with the goal of adding the members from the old system to the new and more powerful one. some thing unique some thing different. somthing that is 100% you.

#3 build this traffic exchange to fit you and who you are – a proud owner is a good owner the fact that you will spend MONEY/ TIME and resources on this project is going to fire up the passion for this venture.

#4 Don’t be cheap – I have also made this mistake myself if you are not semi –pro at it outsource it. and when it comes time to market the site spend money to free up time

#5 learn this should be number 1 – learn everything you can – learn about the history learn about the little conflicts and learn about past and current alliances. The more you know the easier you can have a leg up. Read blogs, forums, people’s opinions, reviews etc. Paul Kinder once told me “be a student of this business”. when i asked for the same advice you just asked. “read and learn”

#6 Screw things up you not perfect no one is this is a human built business so it ok to mess things up and fall flat on your face it’s the ones that get up and keep going that are doing well.

#7 Attend traffic exchange webinars learn the good and the bad.

#8 Think before you do something ask the question is this good for the members and is it good for the business if the answer is yes then do it.

#9 Focus ON this one project and see it through to the end. screw everything else. this needs to be your baby.

Don’t ever follow make the changes you want to but don’t follow be an individual.

when you have all of this in the new site not only will people want to promote it but I would love to join and market your site to the amazing members in this business.
and that is my pledge to you. also do a formal Launch at that time but invite the existing members to be a part of it too.

And that is my traffic exchange 2 cents

PS
get started right after you read this blog post ……… get to work!!!!
