I love the summer time – not cause I go camping and load the family up for a RV trip.
That’s not it at all the summer time is when I know that competition will be taking more time off.
As with any business, there is times where things get a little slower. The housing market heats up for the summer- I’m sure boat, motorcycle, and ATV Sales are going up as I type this. But Snow mobile sales here in California are going to be far and few between. The seasons changing are also going to shift peoples mind sets too. But online isn’t controlled by weather, climate, or time of day.
The sunshine will draw people away from the net it’s a fact – But this is only true for half the world. This means people are going to be coming online in droves now in other parts of the world.
This is a great time to shift your Online marketing to call attention to the people coming online now.
Remember your competitors are going to be taking more time away from the computer. Smart businesses are addicted finding new ways to market to the people that are online at this time.
This should all be part of the strategy you already have in place. This is the perfect time to reflect where you want your business to be in the next 6 months and take a week or two to make the changes to get you on the track to that goal.
This is going to be my 3 summer time working online and in me personal experience is a good time of year. I will continue to grow using the simple fact that I just talked about.
Here is to your Con
tinued success online
and that is my traffic exchange 2 cents

Planning is just another part of business. It is something that we sometimes fail to do. If we go with the flow, we will miss opportunities that someone else will take advantage of. Summertime is a great time to reflect on what needs to be done thruout the rest of the year. Take advantage of it and don’t miss great advertising opportunities now…….
Love that Comment Marcy so true i feel the need to work 10times harder LOL
yes its true summertime is a busy time for a lot of us here in the U.S but like you said half way around the world its wintertime for them which means stuck inside more to be on the computer finding ways to make money. there really is no vacation season for an online marketer just short vacation breaks whenever we can squeeze time in.
I think the word summer time makes not realize the global work that online is
it summer time here but make no mistake you are right MO now is the time to focus more on the other side of the globe
Oh so correct James which is why some of us are smart enough to own a laptop and a portable wireless device of some kind, so we can enjoy the summer, yet take work with us and keep up the pace all summer long..LOL.
I rarely go any where with out work BUT IF I do I make sure my business is still running even if Im off line for a few days camping or something. I schedule emails, make sure customer support is taken care of etc.
Course Im also well known for taking my computer and wireless camping with me..cant say Im sober long enough to do much work but I can at least check in on stuff while having coffee at the camp fire and before i start in on the beers, hiking and swimming..LOL
No Rest for anyone in this biz its 24/7 all year round.
Nice Post
hahah I can see the bed and the laptop in a tent Doing a webinar LOL
but great point for the laptop too we are still connected and Mobile too
Excellent points made here James. Summertime does take people away from their computers in the U.S. but we have members all over the world. That is the best thing about having an online business. It is a good idea to continually go over your business plan and make adjustments. If things are slow, then it is definitely a good time to reflect on what has worked and what has not and make some changes. Change is good if you want to succeed.
Business is Dynamic – Online is Dynamic – people are dynamic so shouldn’t you business plan be dynamic to0
thanks for the Comment Jo
Ive been working online full time since 2008 and in all this time I have taken no more than 2-3 days off at a time. Usually I make sure and take my laptop & Wireless with me and though I dont work long days I still keep up with biz. I make sure my sites stay busy and I have emails going out as much as possible.
The online market is 24/7 year round. You can bet if you take time off and let your biz sit your competitors wont be. Take a 2-3 month break and you will come back to find your biz has dropped off and your competitors has increased.
No matter what time of year it is or where I go, I take my laptop and make sure I have internet access. I never leave my biz alone if I can keep from doing so.
If you do you will find yourself spending time rebuilding what you lost in that time. This means all your hard work was for nothing prior to your taking time off.
If you must take time off, set up pre written emails, set up someone to take care of customer service and emergencies should they arise. Dont just walk away and think your biz will be the same when you come back because it wont and you will regret it.
Stay on top of your biz all year round no matter what

Good post James. I agree, Summertime is the perfect time shift our Traffic Exchange campaigns into high gear. Another good thing about summer, IMHO is that many consumers seem to be in a Spending Mode. So we should take advantage of this aspect, and have some great Sales offers for them to grab. So let’s Promote, Grow and Capitalize!
Nice post. I love it….
Nice post James.
I’ve really never seen a slow-down during the summer months. Like Randy said, I tend to see more people spending money during that time so definitely keep those ads out there!
With the technology we have today it just makes good business sense to have a laptop or some kind of portable device that keeps you connected. Not saying you shouldn’t have a bit of “down time” too…..that’s important to recharge our own batteries, so to speak. But keeping your business running all year long is a must for any marketer.
Although I do spend a lot more time outside, I make sure I always have my laptop out by the pool so I can do a little work while I’m drying off.
I think the word summer time makes not realize the global work that online i
